ABOUT US

Who are we?

We are professionals and lay people who encourage and support each other in the development of programs that integrate care of the body, mind and spirit.

We are:
  • Professional nurses who have prepared in the specialty role of Faith Community Nursing to develop and lead programs within faith communities.
  • Program Coordinators of multi-site programs within an area, often across denominational lines
  • Health Educators who design and implement health promotion programs
  • Lay Health Ministers serving those within our faith community.
  • Faculty who design educational programs to prepare people for this multi-disciplinary work.
  • Clergy who have programs in our faith community.
  • Chaplains who assist people in facilities outside their places of worship.
We believe:

  • That by sharing information, guidelines, and resources we assist and encourage individuals and faith communities as they develop whole person health programs, utilize community resources, and educate others on the interdependent aspect of health of body, mind, and spirit.
